Torrie Anne Wilson (born July 24 1975) is an American professional wrestler who was also a model. Her greatest fame is her participation as a member of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE, previously the World Wrestling Federation).As an endurance athlete, Wilson won the Miss Galaxy contest in 1999. After the win, Wilson was hired by World Championship Wrestling. She was with the company from 1999 to 2000. [2][7][8] Her 2001 appearances on World Wrestling Federation television were part of The Invasion (a WCW storyline that was later referred to as the WWF). The most famous storylines occurred in 2002, in which she faced Dawn Marie. [5][9] In 2003, she teamed up With Sable. Wilson was a part of the all female stable, which includes characters that are associated with stories. Wilson was first exposed to wrestling by a snob at an International Championship Wrestling(WCW) event in 1999. [7][8][9] She was then requested to return to the stage and take to the ring with Scott Steiner. [7] Later, Kevin Nash expressed an desire to write an storyline with her. [5][7][9] She first appeared on the February 8, 1999, episode of Nitro (later named "Samantha"). The storyline it was revealed that Wilson had been taken in by New World Order (nWo) to entice David Flair into supporting his father Ric Flair. [5][14] The two appeared together at SuperBrawl IX on February 21st, when Wilson hit Ric and David hit the latter with a Taser. 15 Ric was awarded the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by Hollywood Hogan. This was in an Uncensored match , in which a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match took place. David and Wilson took their break from WCW television, but returned to the arena in May. Wilson served as Flair's valet during the 1999 Bash at the Beach. Flair has been successful in defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
